Peterson Racing is based in Sparks, Nevada, and has been currently active for 9 years. Peterson Racing includes D Scott Peterson (Dad), currently retired from racing and the crew chief. At this time, only Jess Peterson (19) is active. Matt Peterson (22) is pursuing a mechanical engeering degree at the University of Nevada, Reno and is taking some time off. Peterson racing competes in the sprint division of the International Kart Federation in IKF Region 11, the IKF Grand Nationals and at occasional races in Regions 6 & 7. We also race in the various TAG Expert series, wining the TAG Expert class in 2005 at the Infineon kart racing facility at Sears Pt., CA. Currently, Jess's main focus is the Snap-on Stars of Tomorrow ICA division where he races for Intrepid Karts and G-phactory of Anaheim, CA. Doug Sharp of Kart Key in Petaluma, Ca is our mechanic and tuner.

Jess on his Alpha Works at the Stars of Karting finals at Austin, TX, in Oct. 2005. In 2006 we’re going to run this series full time for Intrepid. The Alpha is a great kart, but they do not have a large presence in N America.
